Designing a comprehensive but concise and compact book is a challenging task particularly for a vast subject like Pharmacology, thus many newer aspects of the drugs have been purposefully omitted to keep the size of the book fairly compact and to facilitate students for smooth preparing, for their examinations.

The priorities for writing the book were to remain lucid without being voluminous and to fulfill the needs of the undergraduate students.

• Covers the syllabus prescribed to medical, dental and pharmacy students

• Presents figures, chemical structures of drugs and tables for easy comprehension in simple and student-friendly language

• Promotes the contents for critical thinking and logical reasoning so as to enable students, the rational prescribings of drugs

• The information pertaining to drugs like pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, indications, adverse drug reactions and drug interactions are covered in great detail, and illustrations have been given for easy understanding. Moreover, at the end of most chapters, important review questions in the multiple choice questions (MCQs) format have been included for self-assessment

• An attempt has been made to remain lucid and trimmed without losing the grip on the subject and to facilitate self-learning.
